Podcasts, video & Downloadable Audio

Yippeeee!!!
At the end at last, but what a fun ride it has been. So much to learn and the remembering could be a challenge to say the least. The fact that there is vast quantities if mindboggling technology out there to be found and explored, is staggering (more so to the computer illiterate). The journey has been one of enlightenment for me.
Over time, I might get to know more about the "Things" that I brushed up against ie:- RSS feeds, Del.icio.us, online image generator and Technorati. Having links to favourite web site could be so worthwhile.
The Technology that is out there will be good for the Library, (although a degree in computer movement might be needed one day),
So look out world.....

Here comes the future
Ready or not....

But remember the past.....

Online apps and tools (8)

Web 2.0 awards
Hey I like the lay out of meebo.com, I could get really hooked (line and sinkered) on this.
I know I'm taking the non-professional way out but I'm doing this. (I might not be making my 50 to 100 words but hey I'm there)
There are some great tools and apps. that could be put to very good use by many people in all professions. Knowledge of all of them could be really troublesome for the not so computer-literate, like myself, but I do see the great potential available to addicted users.

Wikis

Wow!
That could really keep the world communicating.
I went to the animal site and there are so many great pets, (different types) out there.
This could be a really good way, to not only communicate, but to learn through the expanded
knowledge of so many people.
(Well! I have really not got a clue here, but it sounded good)
Did you see my adorable little pet?
(Bela, minature fox terrier)

Tagging, Folksonomies & Technorati

I'm sorry to say, but it is late and this is starting get to be too much information to take in.
But I'll try.
The future of libraries is definitely to be found somewhere lost in the eternal world of the Web and computers although some of us dinosaurs will always rely on paper books and people to get us there, somewhere or anywhere. Hopefully I will keep up with technology and the ever changing IT world to still be of some use to somebody somewhere.

Play week: Librarything

Hey! That was time consuming and relatively fun. A mere fraction of my book supply, it would take weeks to catalog them all. This could have many uses in a social application. Many shared ideas and great topics for discussion.
Okay running out of things to say, need to go on to Rollyo

RSS feeds & newsreader

I subscribed to Dictionary word of the day and today's word was
RECHERCHE: exotic, rare, also, affected and pretentious.
Well that is rather conflicting to say the least.
Pretentious and exotic? Rare and affected? wow! how does that work.
Some other words listed were
Supererogatory, Fallible, Lissom and nettlesome.
This could be an interesting site.
So much for the 50 words (not there yet)

Flickr Technology

Hey I did it (with some help).
Technology: the science of th industrial arts: the terminology of an art or science.
Technology and me don't tend to mix, but glowing green eyes, dogs and camera's always intrigue me.
How this relates to this learning program, well I guess I missed the point but I hope you think this is cute, too.
I'm supposed to write 50 to 100 words. This will do for now.
